going to see Avenue Q tomorrow, Friday 2nd May - so come back and have a look as to what we thought next week !

reviews seem to be very good, guess it will all come down to whether the humour suits the individual or not .....

went last Friday to see Avenue Q - it was very good - some very good lines in it, bit of political comment, fun bits to the story - bit controversial in places, but nothing too untoward.

overall the cast did a great job - apparently one of the guys was on the TV reality to find Joseph and the girl who did the two main female characters has a fantastic voice

I'm not a fan of musicals, but this made up for it in terms of entertainment value definitely.

would recommend a watch

Daniel Boys is the guy from Any Dream Will Do and Rebecca Lock played Kate Monster and Lucy The Slut. They both have a long list of theatre credits.

I thought Avenue Q was very well put together with a lot of attention to detail. The actors that played the puppet characters all dressed in plain grey and the other "human" characters dressed in bright clothing. At times the actors swapped puppets for better fluidity in to the next scene but kept in character by maintaining who provided the voice.

The puppets are only from about the ribs up but the way the actors moved with them and also their own facial expressions (as well as the puppets) really brought them to life.

So if you want to see a well polished show and think puppets singing about everyone being racist and porn, having sex, and coming out of the closet then Avenue Q will be right up your street.
