Notting Grill, London

Postby Kathy on 30 Oct 2007, 16:26

Been a while since I ate at the Notting Grill, which belongs to Anthony Worral-Thompson (hope that is the right spelling!!), but have eaten lunch there a couple of times, and both times the food and service were excellent I have to say - even saw "le chef" himself in there one time!!

definitely worth a visit in my opinion - anybody else visited?

actually, went for lunch again just after Xmas - as ever food and service very good - it was quiet in there, but it was a Tuesday lunchtime I think.
had fish and chips, and have to say the batter on the fish was absolutely delicious, so light and crispy it was wonderful
only downside is that if you ask them to get you a taxi afterwards they arrange a mini-cab, which I have to say I am often dubious about in London - would rather get in a black cab - maybe next time I need to stipulate that I would like a black cab
but, again, well worth a visit
