Now, I know Kettering might not be the ultimate destination for a weekend away, or your annual summer holiday, but should you have to be in Kettering on business maybe, you could do worse than stay at the Kettering Park Hotel & Spa.

The staff are always friendly, the food's pretty good, the rooms are very acceptable. The location is a bit dodgy, being right next to the A14, but I have stayed here 4 times now and it's never been noisy enough to bother me.

Not sure about the prices normally since I have only stayed her for training courses, and e get "all-in" rates agreed by the training provider, but they do a roaring trade in conferences - with many big names here (this week Honda and Deloitte)

Sounds alright to me. If i'm in Kettering on business i'll probably give it a go.

oh, and they have a loyalty scheme for their own chain - which is only about 6 hotels, and most of them are not "leisure" locations, but there is one in the Lake District which would probably be quite nice to visit - if anyone knows of it, let us hear about it?
